Who needs to self-isolate and for how long?
March 2020
Everyone who shows coronavirus symptoms and everyone who lives in the same house or flat needs to self isolate. If you are unwell, please stay in your flat and double bag your rubbish before you put it out for collection during the period of isolation. Our abundance of volunteers will help with shopping, walking dogs, running essential errands, and friendly phone calls until your well again.

The symptoms
-
A fever above 37.8C, and a persistent cough or breathing problem.

How long do you need to stay at home
-
If you live alone, you must stay at home for seven days from the day symptoms start.
-
If you or someone you live with has symptoms, then the entire household needs to isolate for 14 days from the day they start.
-
Anyone in the household who starts displaying new symptoms during the 14-day period will need to stay at home for seven more days, regardless of how long they have already been isolated.
